Electric Oven, Range and Cooktop Repair

Service covers electric ovens, electric ranges with an oven and cooking surface, and separate electric cooktops. When arranging a visit, provide the brand and model number and explain which part of the appliance is affected.

For a range, mention whether the problem affects the oven, the cooking surface or both. For a cooktop, explain whether one cooking zone or several are affected. This information helps clarify the job and the service requirements for your particular model.

Common Electric Cooking Appliance Problems

Reasons to request service include:

• The oven does not heat or takes longer than usual to reach temperature.
• Food cooks unevenly or the temperature does not match the selected setting.
• An electric cooking zone does not heat or respond properly to its controls.
• The display, timer or control panel does not respond or shows an error code.
• The oven door does not close properly or the door seal is damaged.
• A fan makes unusual noises or the appliance stops during operation.
• The self-cleaning function does not start or complete on a model equipped with that feature.

The same symptom can have different causes. Heating elements, temperature sensors, controls, switches and other components may need to be assessed, depending on the appliance and the problem. A symptom alone does not identify which part needs replacement.

Assessment and Replacement Parts

Share the appliance's brand and model number, any error code and when the problem occurs. For an oven, explain whether the issue happens during preheating, baking or another function. For a cooktop, identify the affected cooking zone and what happens when you use its control.

After the initial assessment, the proposed work and charges are explained before work proceeds. Andy-Handy uses only original factory replacement parts for repairs. Parts availability depends on the appliance model and the required repair. Repair labor is covered by a 60-day warranty, and replacement parts are covered by a 90-day warranty.

Electric Oven and Cooktop Repair Pricing

The service call is $89 for the entire visit. If you approve the repair, this amount is credited toward the agreed repair total rather than added on top. There is no distance or travel surcharge within our service area.
